Orion V2, Door controller
The Orion V2 is a compact door controller that connects card readers, electric locks, door contacts and detection sensors to the IPROTECT access control system. It mounts on a DIN rail and communicates with the Pluto network controller. Rated from -25 °C to +65 °C, it works just as well in a technical room as in an unconditioned industrial space.
What makes the Orion V2 smart?
The Orion V2 continuously measures its own supply voltage, the power drawn by each card reader and the load on its outputs. It detects whether a lock is actually connected, and recognises a short circuit or a current surge the moment it occurs.
Every one of these observations is reported to IPROTECT, so a failing lock or a damaged cable appears as a message in the system rather than as a door that no longer opens. The full-colour status indicator shows the same information on the controller itself, at a glance.
